In the interest of maintaining the high quality of playing fields and in effort to prevent injury, the City of Vaughan is solely responsible to enforce the City of Vaughan Wet Field Policy.

The City of Vaughan will report all field cancellations and closures by 5:00pm

Outdoor Soccer Cancellation Policy
The City of Vaughan is the only entity to close the fields due to the weather, NOT the Woodbridge Soccer Club. If the City of Vaughan has not closed the fields, games are to continue as scheduled. It is then at the discretion of the referee (for U7-U18) or the coaches (for U4-U6) to cancel the game due to poor weather or field conditions at the time of kick-off. Generally, if it is only raining, games will be played. However, if there is lightning games should not continue. Unless the Club has formally cancelled a game due to bad weather, field closures or other reasons, coaches and teams must show up at the field. The Club will post field closures on the website and twitter page by 5:00pm.
