David Lisi: Director of Sports Medicine and Performance
David has been the Director of Sports Medicine and Performance at Woodbridge Soccer Club for the past 6 years. He has overseen and lead an integrated team of Athletic Therapists, Physiotherapists, Strength and Conditioning Specialists and Other Medical Professionals to optimize the health and performance of all athletes at Woodbridge Soccer Club.He has mainly worked closely with our League 1 Teams while also overseeing all other teams associated with the club.
With over 10 years of experience in elite athletics, David specializes in injury prevention strategies, manual based treatments, return to play protocols, performance data analytics, load management, and interdisciplinary care coordination. He has worked with athletes at the youth, collegiate and professional level.
In his role, David oversees the medical operations, develops evidence-based performance systems, and collaborates closely with all coaching staff, front office leadership and other medical professionals to align athletes health with competitive goals. Core areas of focus include musculoskeletal injury risk reduction, workload monitoring, biomechanics assessment, rehabilitation progression, and overall treatment based programs.
Prior to joining Woodbridge Soccer Club, David held leadership roles at York University and worked closely with many varsity sports teams at the collegiate level. He also has worked with Team Canada’s Under 16 and 18 Hockey Programs. David was also a prior Division 1 hockey athlete that attended Canisius College. His prior experiences as an athlete has definitely guided his processes in how to work with the athletic population, especially at the youth level. David is also the Clinic Director and Owner of DNA Active Rehab and Performance Clinic which is a multidisciplinary clinic that handles the care and rehabilitation of many different patient populations.
David is passionate about building and sustaining a high performance environment at Woodbridge Soccer Club that prioritizes athlete longevity, resilience and success. He continues to innovate our medical and performance department to allow for the best possible outcomes for all our youth athletes.

Dr. Maheen Diwan: Sports Medicine Physician
Dr. Maheen Diwan is a Sports Medicine physician and the Team Physician for the Woodbridge Soccer Club. With a unique foundation in Physical Therapy prior to completing her medical training, Dr. Diwan brings a comprehensive, athlete-centered approach to care.
Her practice focuses on injury prevention and management, point-of-care musculoskeletal ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided procedures, allowing for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Diwan works closely with athletic therapists, physical therapists, coaches and strength/conditioning professionals to support injury prevention strategies, safe return-to-play decision-making, and long-term athlete performance and health.

Arianna Fatica: Physiotherapist & League 1 Men’s Physiotherapist
Arianna is a dedicated Physiotherapy Resident and Certified Athletic Therapist with a strong passion for helping individuals become the best version of themselves whether that means recovering from injury, optimizing performance, or enhancing everyday movement. Arianna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology and Health Science, along with a Certificate in Athletic Therapy from York University. She became a Certified Athletic Therapist in 2023 and went on to earn her Master of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2025. With a background as a competitive hockey player and gymnast, Arianna has long understood the physical and mental demands of sport. This increases her commitment to evidence-based care, where she blends manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education to create individualized treatment plans. Her clinical interests include sport-related injuries, return-to-sport rehabilitation, and performance optimization.
Arianna is passionate about supporting her patients through every stage of their recovery from initial injury to full return to activity. She values collaboration and empowers her patients to take an active role in their rehab journey. In the future, she plans to pursue additional training in acupuncture and manual therapy to further expand her clinical skillset. Outside of the clinic, Arianna enjoys staying active at the gym, playing hockey, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Arianna is the Lead Physiotherapist at Woodbridge Soccer Club and also the Head Physiotherapist with the League 1 Men’s Team.

Khody Ellis: OPDL Fitness Trainer
Khody Ellis is a soccer fanatic who has learned a lot about life with a ball at his feet. Khody spent two years in Chicago, where he was able to combine both of his passions: playing soccer for Parkland College, and studying athletic training. During this time, Khody’s passion for movement grew even more, and upon his return to Canada, he continued his studies at Sheridan College in health and fitness, and of course played for the Bruins where he was awarded athlete of the year for the 2014-2015 season. Professionally, Khody loves engaging and working with athletes from grassroots to the professionals and places a high importance on empowering athletes to strive for their highest potential through strength and conditioning.

Briar Alderdice: League 1 Women’s Athletic Therapist
Briar Alderdice is a Certified Athletic Therapist with a passion for helping people move, recover, and perform at their best. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Applied Health Science in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College and a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph. Briar has had the opportunity to work with athletes and teams at every level, including Canada Basketball, Ontario Basketball, Ontario Volleyball, Woodbridge Soccer Club and League 1 Premier Soccer, and varsity athletics at Toronto Metropolitan University, Seneca College and Georgian College. As a First Responder and active member of the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA), these diverse experiences have allowed her to support individuals across a variety of environments, building her expertise in both clinical and field settings.
Briar believes in a holistic, individualized approach to care. She combines hands-on manual therapy, rehabilitative exercise, therapeutic modalities, and injury education to not only treat injuries but prevent them. She values working collaboratively with her patients, taking the time to understand their goals and tailoring treatment to fit their specific needs. Her focus is always on building confidence and independence in recovery, working with patients from a wide variety of activity levels to get her patients back to what they love to do. Whether on the sidelines or in the clinic, Briar is committed to providing effective, evidence-based care that supports long-term health and performance for people of all ages and activity levels.

Muskan Sehgal: Athletic Therapist
Muskan is a Certified Athletic Therapist and currently a MSc student at Brock University. She’s worked in various sporting environments, including York University’s Football and Hockey, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and with Woodbridge Soccer. She grew up playing and watching soccer, so being able to combine sports and medicine is what she enjoys the most about working as an Athletic Therapist. She hopes to continue working in Sports Medicine and furthering her education to provide the best form of care for patients.
Muskan covers mostly the League 2 Teams and Reserve Teams at Woodbridge Soccer Club.
